The Juanita Munoz Good Deeds Scholarship

This scholarship honors the life of an amazing woman whose selflessness and kindness left an impact on many people. Known for her warm smile and caring heart, she had the unique ability to focus on the most important things in life. Always ready to give her time and attention, whether through listening to someone in need or going above and beyond to help others, she made a positive difference in the lives of everyone she touched.

With that being said, we are excited to announce the Juanita Munoz Good Deeds Scholarship. These $500.00 scholarships are intended to assist driven, kind-hearted college students with a history of going beyond themselves to do good for others.

Eligibility

• You have performed an act of kindness for another person (this can be a single act or a history of ongoing kindness).
• You are enrolled or accepted in an accredited U.S. undergraduate or graduate program.
• You are a High School Senior and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• You must submit an essay for consideration (details below).
• You must submit a transcript of your last completed semester of schooling (official or unofficial).
• You must drop off your contact information, essay, and transcript to Ryan’s Auto Sales.
• These scholarships are each a single payment of $500.00.
• Your application must be delivered between February 1st and April 1st of the calendar year for consideration.
• The scholarship winners will be announced on May 1st of the calendar year.

Essay

Please write an essay of between 750 to 1,000 words introducing yourself, explaining your act of kindness, the impact it has had, and how it has shaped you.

Terms and Conditions

• These scholarships are open to Senior High School students attending school in Churchill County.
• To apply, you must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university within the United States.
• You must be scheduled to enroll the first semester following the application deadline.
• You must satisfy the eligibility requirements set-forth above.
• There will be three scholarships awarded.
